1. Why authors are using model output for freezing height? Radiosonde data will be better.

2. The authors must have to include ground based observations over other part of the globe.

3. Why Echo Top of 12 dBZ is important? What is the sensitivity of the radar used here?

4. Can you compare the results here with the GPM Pass also?

5. Figure 2 and 3 is not clear.

6. How did you define the warm and cold rain? Not clear.

7. Results : Include the references also with past references.

8. Line 263: higher not higgher.

9. What is the physical meaning of Fig. 10.

The author's command of written English is inadequate, much like my command of written or oral Spanish (which is non-existent).  This is not an insult, nor is it meant to be, and I hope the author is not offended.  The majority of the comments/suggestions I made were to improve the manuscript's readability.
