Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors,

By the description of the concomitant metabolic and physiological changes of a plant as a consequence of successful infection by an oomycete pathogen, this research offers an original and a quite interesting approach for describing the  pathogenetic mechanisms determined by Phytophthora species. Overall, apart from some minor editorial adjustments, in the opinion of the reviewer the manuscript  can be accepted after minor revision. For a more detailed revision see notes in the text (attached file).
