Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
1- Manuscript English language editing is required. There are numerous cases of minor grammatical inaccuracies and typos.
2- Rewrite and rearrange the abstract and added some results.
3- Please update the survey of related work literature. The updated literature review must put the problems of this work into a meaningful context and contain the latest insights on research in the field.

5- The conclusion section needs more clarity with more concentrated on the man results of the previous work.
6- In each section, the authors can prepare table collected the main results, comments of each previous work (Ref.) to easily comparison.
7- Also, in each section, the authors can prepare Figure shows the main results of each previous work (Ref.) to easily comparison.
Add some recommendation and/or future statements at the end of the conclusion part.

This article considers the progress of algae plants as a source of bioethanol. It has a certain value to be published. However, it has some problems.
1. The writing style is somewhat problematic. It is written like a textbook in the first few pages. The knowledge are a little common sense and can be simplified.
2. Each paragraph is written too long and is laborious to read.
3. Suitable classifications, such as the algae catagery, the planting and processing methods, shall be improved. Now it looks like a hotpot, as table 1.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. We categorized the information based on the algal groups (green, brown, red, blue-green and miscellaneous) in the revised manuscript.

The present article entitled” Algae: The Reservoir of Bioethanol” based on a interesting theme and authors have mentioned good content. However I have some suggestion that may improve the presentation of this review article.
Line 94-97; Author have mentioned that “This review also covers the influence of various physico-chemical factors on ethanol production in algal species” but no any heading represent this section. Author have mentioned some factors in future prospect, .Add details factors in the mid or make a separate section
Line-306-317 .Author should place the table in the mid, where table.1 is mentioned first time
Section 5- is to long.. author can split into two three parts.. like mechanism, factors influences ethanol production, and application of algal species in ethanol production

Thank you for your suggestion. We corrected that sentence i.e. ‘various factors’ instead of physico-chemical factors and actually we already wrote section 4 i.e. ‘Effects of various factors on growth and ethanol production from algae’ which is improved now in the revised manuscript. In addition, we included some of the future prospect points in the revised manuscript.
Line-306-317 .Author should place the table in the mid, where table.1 is mentioned first time
Thank you very much for your information. We placed the table-1 in the mid as per your suggestion in the revised manuscript. Also, we placed other tables in the mid of the manuscript.
Section 5- is to long.. author can split into two three parts.. like mechanism, factors influences ethanol production, and application of algal species in ethanol production
Thank you very much for your information. We divided section 5 into sub sections based on the algal groups i.e. green, brown, red and blue-green in the revised manuscript.
