Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript “A MYB transcription factor from Brassica juncea regulates the purple leaf in pak-choi (Brassica campestris ssp. chinensis)” is dealing with anthocyanin accumulation in purple leaves of commercially available Brassica spp. The purple vegetables have high economic values since they are rich in anthocyanins and are one of the main goals for breeders. Authors evidenced thet the purple-leaf phenotype of the pak-choi varieties derived from purple B. juncea through distant hybridization. Presented results shown that a MYB transcription factors from Brassica juncea regulates the purple leaf in pak-choi. Furthermore, The results of presented study provide a good base for identifying the introgression breeding of Brassica and revealed the recombination of genes in different genomes in Brassica crops. The results has some merit and belongs to journal Horticulture. The manuscript can be accepted for publication after minor corrections that are highlighted in text and described to authors. The errors are mainly typocogical.
