Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The research investigated the interactive effect of Pseudomonas sp. UW4 on drought resistance in garlic by modulating growth and physiological parameters.

  1. Authors must use the authors’ guide for manuscript
  2. We encourage the paper to checked for English language accuracy by a native speaker
  3. For proofreading, it is much easier if each line is numbered
  4. The abstract must fully reflect the paper in which the factors studied are presented.
  5. Materials and methods: how was the optimal inoculant determined? Why were solutions with different densities not prepared? How do we know that the density used is the best?

It also used on other plants of different species, soil, and other conditions?

  1. Climatic conditions are missing.
  2. Nothing specified about garlic cultivation technology include references
  3. Some correlations between different parameters, such as Pearson, would have been interesting, be recommended.
  4. The manuscript does not mention how many repetitions were performed and over how many years the experiment was conducted for repeatability.
  5. Table 1. Legend; too much data in the table, possibly to be transposed into a graph
  6. Probability p≤0.05
  7. Figure 1 ..legend; which represents a?
  8. Check Figure 2 in the real context...more data loss
  9. Figures 3 and 4 same
  10. Table 2 legend
  11. The discussions are fairly well condensed and fully explain the mechanisms for improving production under stress conditions
  12. References must be rewritten correctly: many mistakes

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript is interesting and well-written. However, the following minor revisions are suggested:

  1. The introduction needs to be improved by clearly explaining why the Pseudomonas sp. UW4 strain was selected for this study.

  2. Although the methodology, results, and discussion are well-argued, minor grammatical corrections are required throughout the text.

  3. The descriptions for the figures and tables should be more detailed and precise to enhance their clarity.

Overall, the conclusions are strongly supported by the results presented. These revisions will help improve the clarity and scientific rigor of the work.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Manuscript horticulturae-3826586 discusses how purple garlic responds to inoculation with Pseudomonas sp. UW4 under drought conditions.

Comments 1: Pseudomonas sp. UW4 is a well-studied strain, and it is not mentioned in the introduction or discussion.

Comments 2: The tables and some figures (1, 2, 4, and 7) are not mentioned in the text; the data from table one are not mentioned in the text.

Comments 3: Review the data in Table 1, specifically Total Root Length (cm), Total Root Surface Area (cm²), and Total Root Volume (cm³). Are the units correct?

Comments 4: Citation is needed for the determination of malondialdehyde (MDA).

Comments 5: Electrical conductance: subtitle in materials and methods.
