Please review the English grammar and check spelling, preferably providing a review of the text by a native English-speaking researcher. In some parts of the text it is difficult to understand what the authors meant.

Dear authors,

The manuscript entitled "Morphological characteristics and occurrence traits of an important stem-boring pest, Nassophasis sp. (Coleoptera: Rhynchophorinae)” shows the morphological characteristics, anual life history, and ocurrence pattern of each stage of the Nassophasis sp. in indoor and outdoor. The main weakness of this study relies in the approximate description of materials and methods, where several details have been neglected. The authors must improve this section. Another important point is that is better that the insect species studied to be identified to level species. The Results section should be reorganized according how the experiments were described in M&M. Further, several parts of Discussion really not fitting with your work. Although my mother tongue is not the English, a native speaker should revise the text of the MS. For all these reasons, I suggest to the editor to reject the present version of this MS.

I have made several comments I would like the authors to address. I attached them in a pdf version. I hope they find them useful.

Round 2

Reviewer 3 Report

I previously reviewed the first version of the manuscript "Morphological characteristics and occurrence traits of an important stem-boring pest, Nassophasis sp. (Coleoptera: Rhynchophorinae)”. The authors have addressed some of my suggestions but several other not. In order to improve the MS, the authors must address each of the observations made. If not, an explanation must be given by them. There are still a number of issues that need to be corrected before it could be accepted for publication. In addition, the authors should discuss the morphological characteristic of the genitalia of the studied species as well as the life history. My comments can be found in a pdf file.
