The author shares their own journey as a Black woman PhD student through the academic industrial complex and the impact of racialisation. The author uses the lenses of 'whiteness' and the 'academic plantation field' to analyse their own experiences drawing on the work of some key literature from those fields. A deeper exploration of Andrew's psychosis of whiteness to both introduce what is meant by whiteness (could also draw from other literature) and to unpack the author's own experiences in more detail. So you could come back to this later including in the section 'triple threat' where intersectionality is mentioned but could be explored in more detail relating to the author's experience before going into the plantation is a womb/abyss literature. Overall, given the end states the piece is a manifesto to advocate for more resistance it would be good to use introduce that earlier and let the reader know how the frameworks being drawn upon contribute to sustaining such a manifesto. And also how that relates to the author's own journey. Are there examples that can be included?
