Reviewer 1 Report
I think it is a very well written paper becoming more and more interesting especially due to the lot of younger people yet suffering from some post-covid arythmias and being prescribed beta blockers. many fitness enthusiasts would also like to know more about the topic if put on beta blockers.

Thank you very much for the kind review of our manuscript! We agree with you, and also think that this topic is gaining in importance. The increasing number of people with medical indications treated with betablocker, indicates the need for further statistical analysis of larger groups.

Very good paper. Limitation are described in the discussion (dosage of BB). If possible add the indications for BB use and compare groups- selective contra non- selective BB.
Author Response
Tank you very much for your kind review! As mentioned, we are aware of the limits regarding the dosage of BB, however the retrospective analysis did not allow to go into that details. We agree with the suggestion regarding detailed analysis of subgroups with selective or non-selective BB, however we do not expect different qualitative effects on the heart rate and therefore we did not include these detailed analyses. On the other hand, we also see the need for additional dose response studies applying different BB which is beyond the scope of this study.
