Abstract

:
As a breakthrough in the manner of human survival, the future intelligent society gives the development of our survival infinite opportunities and prospects. However, it also inevitably gives us a lot of new problems. Intelligent society makes individual survival viability face the danger of degradation. Human survival experiences and feelings may be confronted with many psychological troubles and other more serious problems. Therefore, this paper studies the positive and negative effects of the future intelligent society and puts forward reasonable countermeasures to eliminate the possible disorder and crime in the intelligent society from the perspective of morality and the rule of law.

1. Introduction

With the rapid development of science and technology, artificial intelligence has penetrated into all walks of life and set off a great intelligent revolution. Intelligent society has become an inevitable trend of future social development. As the self-breakthrough of the human survival mode, the emergence and development of the intelligent society has brought infinite opportunities and bright prospects to human survival and development, which has great significance in the transformation of human life style, thinking mode, working mode, interpersonal communication mode, and entertainment mode. The view of time and space presented by the intelligent society has greatly changed people’s world outlook and traditional ways of communication, and it has made the communication between people more equal and freer. In the meanwhile, it enhances the cognitive ability of the subject, expands the space of human cognition, and makes people’s personality play more incisively and vividly.

2. Intelligent Society and Its Characteristics

Intelligent society is not only a kind of technological innovation, but also a kind of group thinking innovation. It is a new society, different from the real society. In the information age, people do not only change and innovate in an objective material world that is more suitable for human existence through the real society.

2.1. Comprehensive Intelligence of Society

Intelligent machines, intelligent robots, and intelligent networks promote social intelligence. An all-round intelligent society is the intelligent society. The move to an intelligent society is the transition from information society, that is, A3 to I3. The so-called I3 means three intelligentizations, namely factory intelligentization, office intelligentization, and family intelligentization. In addition to these three areas, it also includes intelligent grid, intelligent building, intelligent agriculture, intelligent medical, intelligent transportation, and other areas of social life.

2.2. Flattening of Management Structure

With the further development of intelligent technology, such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, the traditional pyramid social organization management structure has changed to a network and a flat organization management structure. Intelligent systems with powerful computing power can optimize the allocation of labor and related resources, and realize the direct communication and leadership with the grass-roots labor force, thus eliminating the need for management in the middle of the “pyramid” and flattening the structure of the organization.

2.3. Seamless Virtual Reality

People are constantly changing and creating a more suitable physical world for human survival, while consciously and purposefully creating a virtual cyberspace corresponding to the real world. Intelligent society is a product of contemporary scientific and technological revolution. Its emergence and development make the virtual world and reality gradually blur, and realizes the seamless joining of the virtual and reality.

3. Survival Construction of Intelligent Society

The intelligent society can not only use the digital technology to show the various possibilities of the society and provide the best scheme for people’s choice of the real society, but also turn some ideas or things that have not or cannot be realized into virtual reality in the real world, so as to help people’s imagination and the realization of ideals to improve the quality of human life.

3.1. Technical Support

Intelligent society is based on information technology and takes intelligent technology as its core. Its motivating force is the high-tech cluster of artificial intelligence. However, pure artificial intelligence technology is not enough to create a perfect intelligent society. In order to form a ubiquitous intelligent technological environment in the whole society, large data technology and cloud computing technology should be taken as the necessary prerequisites. Wireless transmission technology and wireless network technology are also needed as hard conditions for its existence.

3.2. Human Needs

As the most common phenomenon in the intelligent society, people can buy all goods online, such as daily necessities, books, insurance, and services, they can also exchange shopping experiences with each other including product quality and price information to reduce unnecessary time or expenditure. Intelligent society improves the speed and breadth of people’s experience acquisition and enables people to acquire more experience in a shorter period of time.
There will be many different experiences in people’s lives. Intelligent society has broken the restrictions of time and space. It allows those who have a common experience to share their experience on the internet and get feedback from others. In this way, we can build up the feeling of knowing and cherishing each other and get a sense of belonging in the intelligent society, so that all individuals and groups in society can share their experience. The relationship between them has become closer, forming a new society.

4. Survival Confusion in Intelligent Society

Human society is constantly developing, and the future society is the era of artificial intelligence. Everything in our lives may be related to artificial intelligence. We are welcoming the arrival of the era of artificial intelligence with full enthusiasm. Most of the time, people are engulfed by vast information and become passive recipients of information. All of us have the same feeling. We are inevitably faced with new survival puzzles and problems.

4.1. Human Rationality Weakened

In real social activities, the main body appears as a “rational person”. People always engage in various activities under the guidance of rationality and make rational judgments about the feasibility and consequences of their actions. In the intelligent society, the functions of computers and networks are increasing at an extraordinary speed. Many programs and steps can run automatically. To a certain extent, people only need to participate as “participants” without too much rational thinking and choice. Human rationality is in danger of being weakened. As a result, the confidence and meaning of the survival and development of the subject “will also be in center position which is outstripped the subject, thus scattered by the digitized process in the uncertainty of messy” [1].

4.2. Human Subjectivity Alienation

The subject can play various roles in an intelligent society with different images, personalities, and genders, completely concealing the reality of their personality and getting rid of the restrictions of natural conditions and social norms. Temporarily forgetting all kinds of fetters in reality and feeling unprecedented comfort of freedom. Therefore, when people involuntarily hope to bring the living feeling of virtual reality into reality, the contradiction between reality and virtual will inevitably sharpen, which will inevitably lead to the alienation of human subjectivity. People blindly rely on the “software” designed to survive in an intelligent society, their subjective initiative and creativity are held up. In the long run, thinking ability, judgment ability, and discrimination ability will inevitably face the danger of degradation. If people indulge too much in the illusion of virtual world, they can “forget that the control logic, assumptions, and selected data are all our own products and choices” [2].

4.3. Formation of Interpersonal Barriers

When people spend more time on virtual activities, they naturally have fewer and fewer interactions in real life. Contemporary psychological studies have shown that when people sit in front of an internet terminal all day, or communicate with anonymous strangers through emotionally deprived media, they become isolated from the real society and cut off from real interpersonal relationships. Moreover, they use the free and comfortable standard of virtual space to measure real life, and thus criticize, dislike, and escape reality. More and more “virtual survivors” are lost in the vast ocean of information and become modern hermits in cities, which is already a visible fact.

5. Philosophical Reflection on Intelligent Society

In the process of the continuous progress and development of the intelligent society, research on the intelligent society can not only be carried out from the technical and social levels, but also should rise to the height of philosophical theory, it should reflect and summarize the plight of the intelligent society from the perspective of philosophy so as to better enter the intelligent society.

5.1. Understanding the Essence of Intelligent Society

The virtual world in the intelligent society is essentially an extension of the real world. The freedom and ideal state of the virtual world is the goal pursued by the real society. Reality is always restricted by various factors, and the realization of the goal is a tortuous process. Therefore, we must understand the essence of intelligent society in order to find a way to survive in this digital era.
We must adhere to the principle of “on-demand usage, proper access”, avoiding information addiction and psychological barriers caused by information overload. In fact, many people have network syndrome. After all, they do not have a clear understanding of the purpose and tasks of the virtual activities. They are too self-indulgent, thus lost in the sea of information. Therefore, maintaining a rational and sober mind is an important guarantee to overcome the contradictions between the virtual and reality.

5.2. Constructing Good Network Standard

To accelerate the healthy and rapid development of intelligent society, we must construct corresponding network moral norms, cultivate people’s good ethical and moral consciousness and values, and form a moral self-discipline in the virtual world. The relationship between people in the virtual world shows indirect characteristics. Its morality is not like traditional morality, which mainly depends on public opinion to regulate individual behavior. Participants in virtual activities rely on “Shendu” for the characteristics of moral.
“Shendu” is that even if people are alone without any external supervision and control, people can also comply with moral norm and code. The moral paradigm of obedience in traditional society has some failures in the virtual world. Only when a self-disciplined morality rises to the high level of moral habits and beliefs can the virtual behavior of individuals be effectively regulated.

5.3. Strengthening the Rule of Law in Intelligent Society

Moral and legal methods are means to standardize the behavior of people. The two are different. Morality is not mandatory and the function of law is mandatory, not negotiable. The norms and punishing function of legal methods are more apparent. Therefore, we must use legal means to do a good job of the management of the information network to promote the development of information in the management of the information network, in order to promote the rapid and healthy development of information technology.
First, understanding the importance of safeguarding in accordance with the law and promoting the healthy development of the information network. Second, strengthening and perfecting the legislation of the information network. Third, reinforcing law enforcement and judicial work in the field of information networks. Fourth, participating in the formulation of the rules on the information network [3].

6. Conclusions

In this digital age, intelligent society brings problems and challenges to people’s survival, but as Negroponte said, “Anyway, digital survival does give us reasons for optimism. We can not deny the existence of the digital age, nor can we stop the advance of the digital age, just as we can not fight against the power of nature” [4].
The development of the contemporary scientific and technological revolution and the intelligent society provides us with a variety of choices for the future survival mode. Only if we can correctly understand their nature and change, grasp their trends, and seize opportunities can each of us make reasonable choices and successfully achieve self-transcendence.
