Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This paper proposes a novel approach called simultaneous transmitting and reflecting RIS (STAR-RIS) for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in wireless communications. The authors investigate energy splitting and mode switching protocols to control the reflection and transmission coefficients of STAR-RIS elements. Through optimization of beamforming vectors and coefficient matrices, the proposed STAR-RIS-UAV system achieves a higher sum rate compared to conventional RIS or non-RIS systems, while offering greater flexibility. I have gone through the mathematical model is fine. I am wondering if possible to apply the proposed idea with swarm drones. The results need discussion more deeply. What are the limitations of the proposed technique?
