Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In general, the research topic studied in the paper is interesting. However, I have some concerns on the paper as follows:

1. In abstract, the conclusion is not sufficient and needs some more details. As a reviewer and reader, I really can't understand what the author is studying.

2. In the introduction, more examples are expected to support the problem studied in the paper.

3. Literature review should be improved to better show the research streams related to this paper. Specially, some imporant related works need to be added.

4. Modeling section needs to explain. The steps of proposed model and method are much simple, the steps are not enough explained. The most important thing is that i don't see the pricing model at all. Where is it? Just list some functions and constraints!

5. The English language of the manuscript is not sufficient. Poor English writing results in very difficult reading.

6. Discussion and conclusions need to be further explained and in the results section, compare the methods.

Based on the above comments, I  think the paper can  not be accepted.

The English language of the manuscript is not sufficient. Poor English writing results in very difficult reading.

Comments for author File: Comments.pdf

The English can be slightly improved, both in the syntax and in the terminology. Examples of the former: "administrative costs describing by a convex function" (l. 97); "Principal's interests coincide in fact with the interests of [the] grand coalition (ll. 110-111). Examples of the latter: invested in (instead of allocated to) production or cooperation (ll. 81 and 83); "we can calculate the final values of the best responses and receive [instead of obtain] a Stackelberg equilibrium" (l. 438).

Reviewer 3 Report

Let's start by noting that "Game-Theoretic Models of Coopetition in Cournot Oligopoly" is a manuscript written in a very clear and rigorous way that makes it easy to read, even pleasant.
In the Introduction, the authors establish the fundamental concepts and pose the problem to be studied. They do so using the support of a critical review of the relevant literature, which was very successful. They also assertively establish their contribution to the literature, and indicate the structure of the text.
So, the article is perfectly launched and framed, continuing with the construction based on various models and respective mathematical treatment, done correctly and elegantly - I checked and it seems to me that there are no inconsistencies.
The models are duly interpreted and illustrated through the realization of some situations, well chosen and duly discussed.
The conclusions are interesting and written clearly and succinctly. They indicate possible future research.
In my opinion the manuscript can be published as it is, after proper formatting, and a careful revision of the English to improve it. Authors must also indicate at least one MSC (helps to clarify the scientific field in which the authors are located when preparing the manuscript).
