Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper dealt with the derivation of analytical formulas for area and the second moments of area of periodic B-Spline cross-sections. According to the reviewer's opinion, the paper is well-structured and clear. The topic is interesting and falls within the aim of the journal. In addition, the results are well-presented and could be helpful to further develop the same topic. Therefore, the paper can be accepted for publication in the current form.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

thanks for the accurate review.

  1. As suggested we added a table with abbreviations and symboles.
  2. CSG was explained in the text
  3. All Equations are now alinged.
  4. All Equations are now alinged.
  5. Table 1 and 2 has been combined changed to be more compact ans simple to understand. Further details about the comparision were added in the text before
  6. Table 1 is now more summarized
  7. Figure 6-11 have been summarized in a table with propper labels. (Thanks for this reccomendation this has improved the article quite a lot)
  8.  The suggested references has been added. Furthermore some recent articels has also been added refered to this topic.

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

Authors did not modififed according to my given comments. I would like upload the status of major revision again.

Author Response

Dear Reviewer,

in the corrected Version i had added all your suggenstions, so that i have no clue what I should change any more. Can you be please more precise, what has not been fulifilled right now? I have now uploaded a new one with a more detailed literature review.

  1. There are too much abbreviations are used in this article. I recommend to make a table to  introduce all the abbreviations so that reader understand easily. A complete Table (Table 1) was added on page two which describes all abbreviations and furthermore all symbols.
    2. What is CSG? Page # 02, section 1.1, line # 46. CSG was explained in Table 1 and furthermore in the text.
    3. Not only Equations 1 and 2 but all the equations are written in very pathetic way. Equations  should be aligned.  All Equations has be allinged according to implemented function of the template (MS-Office), so that every equation has been layouted similar to 7-11 see also point 4)
    4. All the equations should be aligned like 7 to 11 equation set.
    5. Table 1 is very informal, I recommend to revisit the table, as it very important for this research work. (Table 1 now Table 2 has beeen simplified and the main reference to the literature was noted in the text see also point 6)
    6. Moreover, you may add extra tables instead of a single table (# 01).
    7. Figure 6-11 are very informal, I recommend to revisit the figures, as it very important for this  (Figure 6-11 has been removed and a table sumarizing every use-case has been added instead).
    research work.
    8. References are very out-dated and not enough for a journal publication. You may improve
the literature review by adding the following research work.
Notes on the Localization of Generalized Hexagonal Cellular Networks. Mathematics, Feb
2023. DOI: 10.3390/math11040844. The Fault-Tolerant Beacon Set of Hexagonal Mobius
Ladder Network. Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Jan 2023. DOI:
10.1002/mma.9091 (Both articles and 6-7 additional works have been applied)
