The journal retracts the proceeding paper, “Analysis of Preload Effect in the Axisymmetric Damped Steel Wire Using Ultrasonic Guided Wave Monitoring [1], cited above. Following publication, the author contacted the Editorial Office regarding a significant overlap and misuse of material taken from another scholar’s master thesis [2] without permission. Adhering to the journal’s complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board. The overlap and the lack of appropriate permission was then confirmed. The article is, therefore, retracted.
This retraction was approved by the Engineering Proceedings Advisory Board and Conference Committee.
The authors agreed to this retraction.
