Reviewer 2 Report

The authors report the impact of the COVID pandemic in the management of skin cancer in their Center.

They report that their unit experienced a significant decrease in volume during the pandemic pause, but a more rapid access to care.

Also, during the pandemic pause, there was a significant reduction in the treatment of basal cell carcinoma, but a relative increase of treatment of higher risk malignancies, with a significant increase in the percent of squamous cell carcinoma that were upstaged after treatment.

They conclude that maintenance of outpatient dermatological surgery services during the COVID pandemic and the practice modifications implemented during such period allow them to continue to treat high-risk cancers in timely manner.

We thank Reviewer 2 for this thoughtful review of our study.

Reviewer 3 Report

Dear Authors,

The topic is interesting since it offers a view on the management strategies to cope with the sars-Cov2 infection without impacting on the health care standard.

The manuscript is well-written, logically structured and easy to read.

Well-done!
