The paper summarizes the available literature data on the promising role of mushrooms as a therapeutic adjuvant to conventional cancer therapies.

The treated argument is of real interest and of importance in the field.

The manuscript is well organized, an adequate analytical and methodological approach has been carried out, and the data has been correctly presented and discussed by the Authors.

The work needs a general revision to correct some typos and the English form.

Please use italics for all the Latin names.

Please place the Tables in horizontally so that they are clearer and more understandable.

Although the paper has some limitations as noted by the Authors, there are no particular issues to point out, and in my opinion the manuscript can be accepted for publication without any substantial changes as suggested.
