The Charleston Conference is an informal yet essential annual gathering for librarians, publishers, consultants, and vendors. It is designed as a collegial forum for all stakeholders to discuss issues of importance in the scholarly communication landscape. The theme for the 2025 conference is "Sailing Into The Wind".

The in-person conference is held in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina, USA, at multiple locations including the Charleston Gaillard Center, the Francis Marion Hotel, and the Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Historic District.
