Recruiting Editors for Galaxies

It is our pleasure to inform you that Galaxies is recruiting Editorial Board members (EB) whose research interests are related but not limited to the following aspects:

  • Astronomy
  • Astrophysics
  • Cosmology
  • Observational Astronomy—Radio, Infrared, Optical, X-Ray, Neutrino, etc.
  • Planetary science
  • Astronomy equipment and technologies
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Astronomical data analyses
  • Astrochemistry and Astrobiology
  • Archaeoastronomy
  • History of Astronomy and Cosmology
  • Philosophical issues in Cosmology

We expect to expand the Editorial Board and cover different areas related to the topics listed above to enrich our journal. We welcome scholars who are active, international, and experienced in astronomy and astrophysics research, especially candidates with a passion for journal editing, scientific communication, and digital publishing. We encourage anyone who is interested in applying to this position or who would like to recommend a potential candidate for this position to contact us by 31 October 2020.

Galaxies (ISSN 2075-4434) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal published online by MDPI, Basel, Switzerland. At present, we are trying best to build international and professional Editorial Board. For editorial practices, we provide an efficient and effective service and publish all the papers in open access format. Galaxies publishes reviews, regular research papers with no restriction on the length of papers.

Editorial Board members have the following responsibilities:

  • Reviewing a couple of manuscripts per year;
  • Recommending timely topics and suggesting potential guest editors;
  • Supervising at least one Special Issue related to your research field per year;
  • Pre-screening submissions and making decisions on whether they should be rejected or accepted for processing;
  • Promoting Galaxies and increasing its visibility at related academic conferences.
