Response to "Water, Sanitation and Health (WASH) Blog" Misinterpreting MDPI's Waiver Policy

In June, a group of researchers of Water, Sanitation and Health at University of Leeds shared their experience organizing and then cancelling a special issue for the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

MDPI applies the same non-biased peer-review standards for all submitted articles, irrespective of the country of origin of authors, or any other criteria unrelated to scientific quality.

Any waivers and discounts on Article Processing Charges for articles accepted after full peer review are applied at the discretion of the editors and based on the quality of submitted articles. Waivers or discounts for good quality articles are considered on a case by case basis.
