Symmetry Webinar | The Dark Universe: The Harbinger of a Major Discovery, Held on 25 May 2023

Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.

On 25 May 2023, MDPI and the journal Symmetry (ISSN: 2073-8994) organized a webinar The Dark Universe: The Harbinger of a Major Discovery. The webinar focused on the questions “What is dark matter?” and “What is dark energy?”. The webinar provided new perspectives, highlighted current impacts, and encouraged new challenges in global research on the Dark Universe.
Prof. Ariel Zhitnitsky first developed the new theory for DM and charge asymmetry in the Universe. Prof. Michael Tobar showed us the impacts of novel techniques to detect DM axions. Prof. Abaz Kryemadhi introduced the DM streams as a new detection concept. Dr. Javier Miguel gave a short presentation of a new proposal for DM axion detection (DALI).
After all the presentations, Prof. Konstantin Zioutas organized the discussion (Q&A) session. The chair and speakers answered questions raised by scholars one by one. The webinar then came to a successful conclusion.
