Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

As the global demand for poultry products continues to rise, the need to advance our understanding of nutrition, production performance, and gut health has never been more critical. Historically, the poultry industry has made significant steps in improving productivity and efficiency, but these gains must now be aligned with modern challenges such as antibiotic resistance, sustainability, and consumer preferences for high-quality products. This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research that addresses these evolving challenges by focusing on innovative nutritional strategies, optimizing gut health, and enhancements in product quality. The scope of this Special Issue includes, but is not limited to, studies that explore novel feed ingredients, alternative protein sources, and the role and function of additives in promoting gut health and overall performance regarding poultry. We also seek research that investigates the genetic, environmental, and management factors influencing meat and egg quality. Integrating these topics is essential for developing holistic approaches to poultry production that are sustainable, efficient, and aligned with consumers’ expectations. We invite researchers to submit original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that contribute to our understanding of these critical areas. This Special Issue will serve as a platform for distributing innovative solutions and insights that will shape the future of poultry production.
