Human-Animal Interactions, Animal Behaviour and Emotion
A section of Animals (ISSN 2076-2615).
Section Information
The “Human–Animal Interactions, Animal Behaviour, and Animal Emotions” Section of Animals publishes original research on behavioural ecology, ethology, behavioural psychology, behavioural physiology, animal affects, and human–animal interactions. It covers research on a wide range of animals, including farm and companion animals, as well as wildlife and aquatic species.
Papers in this Section encompass a range of topics, such as animal behaviour, animal emotions, animal cognition, animal communication, animal character, animal-assisted therapy, and more.
While contributions focusing on human–animal relationships are encouraged, precedence is given to researches that rigorously investigate the potential benefits, both short- and long-term, for the animals involved, with a focus on outcomes that extend beyond human-centred advantages.
