Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The growing popularity of the gluten-free diet has urged (1) the food industry to continuously introduce and/or adjust and improve the formulations of gluten-free products in the market; and (2) health care practitioners, including dietitians and researchers, to look into the nutritional adequacy of the diet beyond its ability to manage gluten-related disorders such as celiac disease.

Given the strong motivations behind the use of gluten-free diets and also the technological and nutritional challenges of this dietary pattern, this Special Issue aims to communicate up-to-date evidence-based knowledge on the actual medical and nutritional needs for this diet and its varied implications on the nutritional status, dietary habits, and overall health of individuals following this diet.

All forms of manuscripts, including experimental papers, narrative reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and short communications, are welcome.

I look forward to receiving your submissions.
