Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue aims to bring together researchers from diverse disciplines to share their latest advancements and insights in multi-agent systems (MASs). MASs play a crucial role in various fields, including distributed computing, robotics, control theory, and artificial intelligence, where multiple agents—ranging from software programs to robots—interact and collaborate to accomplish complex tasks.
We seek original contributions that explore the analysis and control of MASs, focusing on theoretical foundations, methodologies, and applications. Contributions investigating human–agent interactions, coordination mechanisms, and distributed control strategies are also welcome. Moreover, the rapid development of Large Language Models has opened new avenues for MASs, and we encourage papers that explore this intersection.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Investigating the theoretical foundations of MASs, including game theory (evolutionary and classical) and control methodologies;
- Developing and applying novel MAS architectures, protocols, and algorithms;
- Exploring human–agent interactions, human-in-the-loop systems, and hybrid intelligence;
- Investigating applications in robotics, smart grids, and cyber-physical systems.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
