Games Webinar | Evolutionary Game Theory—Games Best Paper Award and Outstanding Reviewer Award Ceremony, 9 October 2024

Welcome message by the Webinar Chair:

Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to invite you to join our upcoming webinar hosted by Games (ISSN: 2073-4336), where we will proudly present our Best Paper Award and our 2023 Outstanding Reviewer Award. This event will be a celebration of exceptional contributions to the field of game theory and a platform to showcase pioneering research.

We are honored to announce that our Best Paper Award will be awarded to Prof. Dr. Jonathan Newton, whose excellent 2018 survey “Evolutionary Game Theory: A Renaissance” has significantly advanced our understanding of evolutionary game theory’s applications and recent developments. Prof. Dr. Newton will present his latest research on conventions, offering a glimpse into innovative methodologies and impactful findings at the research frontier in this field.

Additionally, we are pleased to present the 2023 Outstanding Reviewer Award to Prof. Dr. Satoshi Uchida in acknowledgment of his meticulous and invaluable contributions to the peer-review process. His dedication to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly excellence has been instrumental to the success of our journal. Prof. Dr. Uchida will discuss his current research on the behavioral aspects of the evolution of cooperation, providing attendees with an opportunity to engage with his cutting-edge theoretical explorations.

As the Editor-in-Chief of Games, I am thrilled to chair this webinar and introduce these remarkable scholars. Their work exemplifies the rigorous and insightful research that our journal strives to promote. We look forward to your participation in this event, which promises to be both enlightening and inspiring.

Prof. Dr. Ulrich Berger, Editor-in-Chief of Games
