Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue aims to showcase the significant research of young investigators in the field of hematology. It focuses on the idea of new novel approaches, strategies, perspectives and methods from young investigators to tackle complex hematological challenges, such as spatial biology, artificial intelligence, digital pathology, cellular immunology, etc. Both research articles and review articles are welcome.

Young investigators must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Currently be PI of an independent research project;
  • Be the lead author (first author and/or corresponding author) of at least three articles of journals of hematology;
  • Either a) hold a PhD degree and be at the age of 40 or less in the year of submission,b) have received their PhD no earlier than 1 January in the year that is 10 years prior to the year of submission or c) have no more than 5 years of post-PhD research experience on 1 January in the year of submission when taking into account any career breaks.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Hemato is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
