Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recent advances in dental science and digital health have paved the way for a new era of personalized prevention in oral healthcare. Emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence, teledentistry, 3D imaging, digital scanning, wearable biosensors, and smart oral hygiene devices—offer unprecedented opportunities to tailor preventive strategies to the specific needs of each patient. These innovations enable the early detection of risk factors, the real-time monitoring of oral health status, and the integration of patient-specific data into targeted preventive interventions.

This Special Issue aims to gather high-quality research and reviews focusing on the development, clinical application, and impact of new technologies for personalized oral cavity hygiene. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: AI-driven risk assessment tools, microbiome-based diagnostics, remote monitoring systems, advanced remineralization agents, and novel educational platforms for patient engagement. Contributions addressing the ethical, economic, and implementation challenges of these technologies are also welcome.

By bringing together cutting-edge studies from researchers, clinicians, and hygienists, this Special Issue will provide a comprehensive overview of current trends and future directions, fostering an interdisciplinary dialogue that will shape the next generation of preventive dentistry.
