Dear Colleagues,
According to the World Health Organization, the post-COVID-19 condition, commonly known as long COVID, can affect anyone exposed to SARS-CoV-2, regardless of age or severity of original symptoms.
Nowadays, there are many questions without answer in relation with this topic, despite the increasing number of suspected cases of long COVID-19.
It is also important to be able to clearly identify which cases could actually be diagnosed as the post-COVID-19 condition, as this condition can have an impact on the course of the epidemic, on the physical and mental health of the affected people, as well as on the working conditions and even on the future quality of life of the affected people. It is therefore important to encourage more research and above all to publish better quality research.
In this context, it is also important to learn about the consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic in society, in the economy and in general life. It would be meaningless to have overcome the epidemic if we do not learn from the consequences of this pandemic on our lives.
The editors of this chapter: Lesson learned in COVID-19 and Advances in Post-COVID-19 Conditions accept the responsibility of editing this body of research, convinced that it is an opportunity to make available to other researchers, resources that allow a better approach to the reality of the post-COVID condition in the world.
