Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

A Special Issue on “Intensive Care Interventions for Critical Illnesses” in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health is being organized.

Intensive care is an extremely complex area, due to the level of complications that patients may experience. The intensive care unit presents important factors that professionals working in this area must be aware of, such as drug interventions, sedation, invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support, and the functional rehabilitation of critically ill patients.

We would like to invite those who have experience in this area to send your studies and work to be included in this Special Issue in order to contribute to the spread of knowledge on this topic. We believe that systematic review studies and clinical and observational trials are of paramount importance in order to elucidate and present new solutions or possibilities for action.

There are important topics to be highlighted and addressed such as the treatment of sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, weaning, antibiotic therapy, functional diagnosis and rehabilitation.

The keywords listed below provide an outline of some of the possible areas of interest.
