Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Blockchain technology is poised to revolutionize various industries by providing a secure, transparent, and decentralized method of recording transactions and managing data. As a shared, immutable ledger, blockchain ensures that data is accurate, traceable, and tamper-proof, which is crucial for building trust in digital transactions. The potential applications of blockchain extend far beyond cryptocurrencies. In finance, blockchain can streamline processes, reduce fraud, and lower costs by eliminating intermediaries. In supply chain management, it enhances transparency and traceability, ensuring the authenticity and quality of products. Healthcare can benefit from secure patient data management and the efficient sharing of medical records. Additionally, blockchain's role in smart contracts can automate and enforce agreements without the need for intermediaries, reducing the risk of disputes and increasing efficiency.

Current research in blockchain technology is focused on several critical issues, including scalability, security, privacy, and interoperability. Scalability remains a significant challenge as the demand for higher transaction throughput and lower latency grows. Security and privacy are also paramount, with ongoing efforts to enhance cryptographic techniques and protect against malicious attacks. Interoperability between different blockchain platforms is another key area of research, aiming to enable seamless communication and data exchange across diverse systems. As industries continue to explore and adopt blockchain technology, its impact on the global economy is expected to grow significantly. The demand for blockchain expertise is rising, and businesses are increasingly recognizing the value of integrating blockchain solutions to stay competitive and innovative.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Information is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
