Travel Award
Dear Colleagues,
As Editor-in-Chief of Magnetochemistry, I am pleased to announce the winner of the Magnetochemistry Travel Award for 2019.
The award has been granted to: Dr. Giuseppe Ferrauto, postdoctoral fellow at the Molecular Imaging Center, University of Torino, Italy.
Giuseppe Ferrauto’s research activity is essentially focused on four main fields: i) the development of highly sensitive metal-containing probes for MRI (T 1, T 2, and CEST agents) and their application in cell systems or in vivo; ii) the development of “smart” nano- or micro-carriers (e.g., micelles, liposomes, MSNs, RBCs, etc.) for the delivery of imaging probes and for the development of in vitro analytical assays; iii) the development of MRI procedures for the characterization of the tumor microenvironment (e.g., pH, temperature, vascular volume, etc.); iv) the development and characterization of probes for photoacoustic imaging.
It was a difficult decision with such high-quality applications for the awards, and we would like to thank all applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics. We congratulate Dr. Ferrauto for his accomplishments.
