Editor of Distinction Award
Materials owe much of its success and reputation to the dedication of its Editorial Board Members. The Editorial Office appreciates the hard work and commitment of our Editors. The Materials Editor of Distinction Award is given annually to acknowledge Editorial Board Members’ exceptional contributions in maintaining the journal’s high international standards. This award honors six Editorial Board Members every year, and the winners will be announced by the end of November next year.
An evaluation committee, led by the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Maryam Tabrizian, will be responsible for selecting the winners based on their activities and contributions to the development and maintenance of the journal’s high standards throughout 2024 and 2025.
Prizes:
Six winners: CHF 1000 and a certificate each.
Schedule:
Application deadline: 31 October 2025.
Winner announcement: 30 November 2025.

Eligibility for the Award
- Being an Editorial Board Member. This excludes the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editor-in-Chief;
- Contributions made to the journal in 2024 and 2025 qualify Editorial Board Members for the award.
