The Synthesis and Application of Rare-Earth-Doped Luminescent Materials

Dear Colleagues,

Rare-earth-doped luminescent materials have captured notable attention all over the word due to their wide scope of application, e.g., in display, lighting, biological detection and environmental monitoring purposes. Meanwhile, fundamental investigations on rare-earth-doped luminescent materials have been developing in recent years. In order to further showcase the latest advances in rare-earth-doped luminescent materials, we have organized this Special Issue, titled ‘The Synthesis and Application of Rare-Earth-Doped Luminescent Materials’, to collect recent advances in the field of organic and inorganic luminescent materials based on rare earth ions, including novel luminescent materials, luminescent devices, luminescent mechanisms and other applications of rare-earth-doped luminescent materials. This Special Issue welcomes original research, review, and perspective articles, including, but not limited to, the following themes:

1. Progress in rare-earth-doped luminescent materials.
2. Molecular design of rare-earth-doped luminescent materials.
3. Progress in the application of rare-earth-doped luminescent materials.
4. Luminescent mechanisms and processes of rare-earth-doped luminescent materials.

Manuscript Submission Information

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
