Dear Colleagues,
Elemental analysis of complex samples is an extremely relevant topic in contemporary analytical chemistry. Solving such analytical problems often requires the separation of analytes from the matrix to reduce interferences observed when spectrometric techniques are employed in the measurement step. Additionally, in many cases, analytes are found at low concentrations in samples, necessitating their pre-concentration before measurement. In this context, the use of extraction techniques becomes indispensable. Several groups of techniques can be listed for these purposes, including liquid–liquid extractions, solid-phase extractions, and even solid–liquid extractions. Numerous advancements in these fields have been reported in the literature, reflecting a continuous effort to enhance the efficiency, selectivity, and sustainability of analytical processes. With the ongoing development of new technologies and materials, it is expected that these methods will become even more robust and widely applicable in various areas of science and industry.
The aim of this Special Issue is to promote the dissemination of novel findings in the field of extraction techniques. Both original research and review articles that provide a comprehensive and critical analysis of the area are encouraged.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
