Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Bacterial infection presents a huge threat to human health. During the last few years, there has been continued progress in development of new treatment strategies of bacterial infection.

New agents including small molecules and peptides with antibacterial activities or improved therapies against bacterial infection have been reported. Targeting drugs specific to bacterial can minimize the toxic effects on mammalian cells.

This Special Issue on “The Antibacterial Drugs” aims to be an open forum where researchers may share their experiences and findings in this promising field. It is focused on the comprehensive and critical examination of current and emerging research on the design and development of advanced antibacterial agents and their application to experimental and clinical therapeutics.

Contributions to this issue, in the form of both original research and review articles, may cover all aspects of new discovery and development of new therapeutic agents for bacterial infections, especially small molecules and peptides
