In this Special Issue on nanomaterials, we aim to curate groundbreaking scientific contributions centred on the computational methods and properties of “Quantum Dots for Advanced Optoelectronic and Sensor Applications”. Our primary objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest trends in the modelling and design of quantum dots, utilizing cutting-edge computational methods that can potentially be applied to various technological applications. Through this Special Issue, we aim to highlight the potential advancements and breakthroughs in the field, fostering a deeper appreciation for the transformative role of nanomaterials in the realm of optoelectronics and sensing.
We specifically invite quantum dot research articles on the following topics:
- Optical gain;

- Auger recombination;
- Thermal infrared sensing and imaging;

- Photodetectors;

Nanomaterials is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
