Editor of Distinction Award

The success and esteemed reputation of Remote Sensing is largely due to the dedication of our Editorial Board Members. The Editorial Office deeply appreciates the hard work and commitment of our editors. The Remote Sensing Editor of Distinction Award is given annually to acknowledge Editorial Board Members’ exceptional contributions to maintaining the journal’s high international standards. This award honors three Editorial Board Members every calendar year and announces the winners by the end of April the following year.

An evaluation committee, led by the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Prasad Thenkabail, will be responsible for selecting the winners based on their activities and contributions to the successful development and maintenance of high-quality standards throughout 2025.

The Prize:

– CHF 1000;
– A certificate.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

– Be a current member of the Remote Sensing Editorial Board (titles including Associate Editor, Editorial Board Member, and Section Board Member).
– Have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the journal through timely manuscript reviews, active participation in editorial and promotional activities, contributions to strategic development, and other related efforts.
– Have a track record of high-quality editorial decisions that have positively impacted the journal's quality and reputation.
– Have shown leadership in Special Issues, Sections, or other editorial initiatives.
