Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the Special Issue entitled “Risks and Uncertainties in Transitions”, to be published in Risks (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/risks, ISSN 2227-9091). This Issue is now open for submissions of full research articles and comprehensive review papers for peer review.
Global society is currently undergoing multifaceted transitions driven by low-carbon transformations amid climate change, industrial restructuring powered by digital technologies, adjustments to the global economic landscape in the post-pandemic era, and new governance challenges arising from geopolitical and demographic shifts. While these transitions create development opportunities, they are also accompanied by complex and interrelated risks and uncertainties that may hinder the achievement of transition goals.
This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research on risks and uncertainties in transition processes. By integrating interdisciplinary perspectives from finance, economics, environmental science, and management, it seeks to advance theoretical and practical understanding of transition-related challenges and to provide decision-making insights for policymakers and practitioners.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Multidisciplinary methods for quantifying risks and uncertainties in long-term transition processes;
- The influence mechanism of multiple risks and uncertainties on the economy and financial system;
- Analysis of uncertainty transmission mechanisms across interdependent transition systems;
- Understanding the role of financial instruments in managing transition-related risks;
- The impact of climate transition uncertainty on the high-carbon-intensive enterprises;
- Construction of transition risk early-warning systems;
- Uncertainties and corporate financial decisions;
- Corporate risk perception and strategic adjustment in the transition process;
- The impact of international geopolitical risks on financial markets and business operation decisions;
- Multiple risks and financial stability.
We warmly invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners worldwide to submit their original and high-quality research papers that contribute to advancing our collective understanding of risk and uncertainty in transition processes.
