Sensors | 2024 and 2025 Editorial Board Meetings of the Section “Sensing and Imaging”

Starting in 2024, Sensors (ISSN: 1424-8220) has begun to organize Editorial Board meetings. The Section “Sensing and Imaging” held two Editorial Board meetings on 16 December 2024 and 21 January 2025, respectively. Both meetings were chaired by the Section Editor-in-Chief Prof. Sylvain Girard, with a total of 15 Editorial Board Members being in attendance. These meetings not only served as a platform for in-depth discussions on the journal’s development but also strengthened communication and cooperation among the Editorial Board Members.

During the meeting, various key topics were discussed. The editorial team first presented an overview of the journal’s performance in 2024, with a particular focus on the Section “Sensing and Imaging”. Editorial Board Members actively engaged in the discussion, providing important feedback and suggestions on how to further improve the journal's quality and visibility. One of the key takeaways from the meeting was the discussion on maintaining high manuscript quality and broadening the journal’s impact. To further enhance the journal’s visibility, members discussed initiatives such as inviting leading experts to contribute high-impact review papers, organizing targeted webinars, and exploring conference sponsorship opportunities to strengthen global engagement.

The success of the meeting is expected to bring positive developments to Sensors in 2025. With the support of the Editorial Board, Sensors will continue to grow, enhance its academic quality, and make greater contributions to the scientific community.
