Young Investigator Award

The Viruses Early Career Investigator Prize was established in 2017 to acknowledge the achievements of early career investigators in the field of virology. Nominations are accepted from June to December every two years, with winners announced by the end of February the following year.

Prizes:
– Prize of 1000 CHF (Swiss francs).
– Invitation to publish one paper free of charge, after peer-review, in Viruses.
– An invitation to speak at the Viruses international virology conference and an engraved plaque.

Award Terms and Conditions

– Nominees should be early-career researchers in untenured positions who are within 10 years of completing their terminal degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent).
– Nominees must have produced ground-breaking research and made a significant contribution to the field of virology.

List of Documents for Nomination

– A detailed Curriculum Vitae, including an updated publication list.
– Scanned copy of the doctorate certificate.
– Signed nomination letter and a letter of recommendation from two established senior scientists.
