Travel Award

The Viruses Travel Award was launched in 2016 and is presented annually to encourage junior scientists to present their latest research at academic virology conferences. This award helps to raise the profile and visibility of these up-and-coming researchers. The application period is open from June to October, and the winners are announced by the end of January the following year.

Prizes:
– 800 CHF.
– An award certificate.

Eligibility and Requirements

– Candidates must be postdoctoral fellows, PhD students, or research fellows.
– Candidates should have plans to attend an international conference in 2025 (oral presentation or poster).

List of Documents for Application

– Information on the conference that the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted.
– Curriculum Vitae and a list of publications.
– Justification letter describing the focus of the applicant’s research (max. 800 words).
– Letter of support from the applicant’s mentor.
