Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

the idea of generating a framework of design parameters and performance parameters is good.

however, the literatur review given is very poor, the description (not "explanation", line 92) of BIPV systems is incomplete and perfunctory. is lacks the technical understanding of PV

the results given are very disappointing - the out-come of the work is not new. it is a well known fact that the inclination and orientation of a PV system are the main influence factors for the electrical performance!

A more detailed and in depth analysis of your data has to be provided.

You have to work put much better the speciallities of BIPV compared to free standing Pv-systems.

I think that the quality of this work is extremely high. I require major revisions, but I have a great propension to accept it. In fact, the work is effectively well organized but I think that authors can improve some aspects:

1. What is your effective contribute to sustainability? This aspect must be enhanced in conclusions (that are very long). Typically after a consistent discussion you can propose a content more short because it is possible to avoid redundance contexts

2. Towards this direction, the literature must presented th direction of PV towards sustainable goals. I suggest for example four works: i) Economic overview of the use and production of photovoltaic solar energy in brazil ii) The Profitability of Residential Photovoltaic Systems. A New Scheme of Subsidies Based on the Price of CO2 in a Developed PV Market  iii) Challenges and opportunities for the growth of solar photovoltaic energy in Brazil iv) Environmental Efficiency of Photovoltaic Power Plants in China—A Comparative Study of Different Economic Zones and Plant Types.

3. What are the limits of your manuscript? What are the future directions? Please report it in Section "Conclusions"

4. Figure 8 has a low quality

5. What is the impact of the typology of solar PV modules (e.g. c-Si or p-Si)?

6. Energy output can be increase but the grid is available to receive more energy? Please analyse this aspect

7. the evaluation of MCDA can be a future direction of research?

I think that the quality of this work is very high and I hope that all suggestions will be applied.
