Shear Wave Velocity Estimation Using the Real-Time Curve Tracing Method in Ultrasound Elastography
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The study is proposing a new approach in evaluating/using SWE in evaluating the tissue displacement induced by SWE. I was surpised that the data presented in the introduction and also in the discussions are combined Single wave procedure, such as ARFI (POint Share wave) and Supersonic data (multiple biplane shear wave). In the general practice, when describing the medical use of SWE the two methods can not be compared. SO, if you are reffering to Supersonic devices, please do use correct references when describing the practical use of SWE in the diagnostic of both diffuse (thyroid, renal, parathyroid) or nodular disease (breast, thyroid, prostate)
Your references are mixed up. Please do correct them. The same is valid for discussion the two elastographyc techniques are combined and mixed.

- All shortenings should be explained by the full name using for the first time, even when commonly used in the research field (ROI, SSI, …)
- 10, Fig. 11 – x- and y-axis should be described with the appropriate units. Fig. 11b and Fig. 11c – blue line is invisible, please change the order, blue line at the top
- Table 4 please define the formula for the relative error
- Conclusions, please extend this, the most important part of the paper (discussion with other, recent (last 5 years) research)
- In this part of the paper, in my opinion, it is better to use full names of methods used or both in brackets full name, than only shortenings.
- The literature review is poor and incomplete. Please add the newest research (last 5 years)
