9–11 September 2024, Birmingham, UK
18th UK National Heat Transfer Conference

The University of Birmingham is delighted to host the 18th UK National Heat Transfer Conference. This will be an in-person, three-day meeting, held on the university campus.

Objectives

The conference’s goal is to bring local and international heat transfer communities together to disseminate their ongoing work and discuss the latest advances in the heat transfer field.

Scientific Programme

The scientific programme will consist of invited keynote lectures presented by internationally recognised scholars, special sessions on recent progress in selected cutting-edge areas, and contributed abstracts presented in oral sessions.

Topics will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Single-phase heat transfer;
  • Boiling, evaporation, and condensation;
  • Computational heat transfer;
  • Multi-phase flow;
  • Cooling of electronics and other high heat flux devices;
  • Heat pipes;
  • Thermal management;
  • Air-conditioning and refrigeration;
  • Gas turbines, engines, combustion;
  • Heat exchangers;
  • Enhanced heat transfer;
  • Environmental heat transfer;
  • Heat transfer at micro and nano scale;
  • Nanofluids;
  • Porous media;
  • Energy recovery and heat integration;
  • Heat transfer and thermodynamics for automotive industry;
  • Heat transfer for aerospace;
  • Nature-inspired solutions of flow and heat transfer;
  • Drying;
  • Heat transfer technology for sustainable energy—fuel cells, solar energy, geothermal energy, energy storage, and sorption heat pumps.
