New Trends in the Management of Pediatric Epilepsy: From Bench to Bedside

Dear Colleagues,

The last two decades have seen the arrival of major breakthroughs in the field of pediatric epilepsy.

Genetic and disease modification treatments promise to modify the natural course of a number of epilepsies, technologies appear to be a way of eliminating disparities and inequalities in epilepsy care, and non-seizure outcomes are becoming more and more important in research and everyday clinical practice.

At the same time, our patients’ voices are becoming stronger and stronger, and patients and their families/carers request to become our partners when designing therapeutic strategies and when we determine our research priorities.

It is now more obvious than ever before that we need to keep up to date with all emerging progress and that international collaboration is essential in order to facilitate the application of new treatments and validate their efficacy in the real world.

The aim of this Special Issue is to communicate all current progress and new trends in the field of pediatric epilepsy management to colleagues working across the whole spectrum of pediatrics.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Children is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
