Crystal Engineering

A section of Crystals (ISSN 2073-4352).

Section Information

This section, like others in this journal, ensures rapid publication of research results.

It covers topics concerning crystal engineering and related fields, for example, interactions in crystal structures. Other topics related to crystal engineering are welcome, for example, coordination chemistry, the influence of intermolecular interactions on the geometry and arrangement of species constituting crystals, cooperativity effects, crystal synthons and crystal motifs, and the use of statistics tools to analyze relationships between parameters describing crystal structure.

Original research articles, reviews, letters, and communications are all suitable submissions. Particularly, we anticipate publishing the following issues listed below, among others, which are also welcome.

  • Intermolecular interactions, particularly the hydrogen bond
  • Supramolecular synthons and crystal design
  • Structure motifs
  • Cooperative effects
  • Molecular geometry
  • The arrangement of molecules in crystals
  • The statistical analysis of crystal structures
