Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Digital healthcare solutions are undergoing a transformative phase with the integration of cutting-edge interfaces, shaping the future of medical care. This Special Issue explores the latest advancements in visual interfaces within the health domain, encompassing technologies like the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), mobile applications, wearables, Virtual Reality (VR), and Augmented Reality (AR). These interfaces empower medical professionals to monitor vital patient data in real-time through connected devices, thereby enhancing the management of various medical conditions.

Wearables play a crucial role in providing continuous monitoring, offering valuable insights into patients' health status. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies revolutionize the visualization of three-dimensional medical data, contributing to improved diagnostics and surgical procedures. The integration of these technologies not only facilitates real-time monitoring but also enhances the overall understanding of complex medical conditions.

This Special Issue aims to cover a broad spectrum of topics related to advanced and innovative interfaces in digital healthcare solutions, including but not limited to:

  • Conversational Interfaces;
  • Full-body Interaction;
  • Human–Computer Interaction;
  • Human–Robot Interaction;
  • Human-Centered AI;
  • Image Analysis;
  • Advanced Data Analysis;
  • Intelligent Interfaces;
  • Internet of Medical Things (IoMT);
  • Usability and Accessibility;
  • Virtual and Augmented Reality.

By bringing together research on these diverse topics, this Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state and future potential of advanced interfaces in digital healthcare solutions. The collected contributions will contribute to the ongoing dialogue in the field, fostering innovation and advancements in healthcare technologies.
