2009	The inaugural issue was released. Gastroenterology Insights was published as a quarterly journal. Gastroenterology Insights was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1). Gastroenterology Insights was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
2015	Gastroenterology Insights was indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) - Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
2020	Gastroenterology Insights was published by MDPI from Volume 11 Issue 1 (2020). Gastroenterology Insights established the following sections: -Alimentary Tract; -Gastrointestinal Disease; -Liver; -Pancreas; -Biliary Content; -Gastrointestinal and Hepato-Biliary Imaging.
2023	Gastroenterology Insights received its first Impact Factor (2.9) Gastroenterology Insights received its first CiteScore (2022) of 2.7.
