Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The conference and scientific meeting of the University of Catania will take place in Catania, Italy on 12 July 2019. This is the first meeting in collaboration between the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnologies, the Department of Education and the Kore University of Enna.

The aim of the conference is to argue, through the major national and international exponents, the relationship between motor activity, psychology and neuroscience. Four thematic sessions are planned in which the physiological, physiopathological and pharmacological aspects of the mind will be addressed, namely the mind–body relationship; motor activity linked to emotions, neuromodulation and sports performance; sport as a tool in social planning; and sport as an educational and didactic tool.

Knowing that there is no body and mind without the right "fuel", the topic of nutrition will also be taken into consideration.

The last session will be dedicated to the promotion of young researchers through the selection of oral communications and posters.

The abstracts of scientific presentations from the meeting will be collected in this report.
