Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing numerous aspects of modern life, with healthcare being one of its most promising developmental avenues. AI-powered tools have the potential to transform healthcare delivery, finance, education, security, entertainment, etc. By leveraging the capabilities of AI, healthcare professionals can analyze vast amounts of data rapidly and accurately, leading to improved decision-making processes and enhanced patient outcomes.

AI has demonstrated its potential in various ways. It aids in early disease detection, assists in developing personalized treatment plans, and enables the prediction of patient outcomes with unprecedented accuracy. Furthermore, AI contributes to operational efficiency within healthcare facilities by automating routine tasks, managing patient records efficiently, and optimizing resource allocation.

The integration of AI into healthcare systems holds tremendous promise for the future. It is anticipated to result in significant cost savings, elevate patient experiences, and ultimately lead to better healthcare delivery overall. As researchers and practitioners continue to explore the potential of AI in healthcare, there is a pressing need to disseminate cutting-edge research, innovative methodologies, and novel applications in this rapidly evolving field.

The "Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare Applications and Advances" Special Issue aims to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to contribute their latest findings, insights, and advancements in the field of AI-driven healthcare. We welcome original research papers, review articles, case studies, and novel perspectives addressing topics including, but not limited to, the following:

  • AI-assisted healthcare data analytics and decision-making services.
  • Machine learning and deep learning-based models for healthcare services.
  • Wearable sensors and trackers for personalized healthcare.
  • Medical text and image processing.
  • Personalized patient care environments in healthcare.
  • Ethical considerations and challenges in AI-driven healthcare.
  • Security and privacy issues in healthcare systems.
  • Healthcare process automation and optimization
  • AI applications for patient monitoring and management.
  • Robotic process automation in patient care.
  • Predictive analytics in healthcare.
  • The integration of AI with emerging technologies (e.g., Internet of Medical Things, blockchain, etc.) in healthcare.

Submissions should present innovative approaches, empirical studies, and practical insights that advance our understanding and application of AI in healthcare. Manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, impactful research.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
