Dear Colleagues,
The recent advancements in machine learning and data analytics have resulted in the great development and utilization of new applications in healthcare and medical settings. In recent years, the healthcare industry has witnessed momentous advancements and the use of various types of smart applications and computations in order to enhance quality of life and well-being around the world.
This Special Issue is concerned with the application and utilization of machine learning and data analytics approaches to address problems in healthcare. In particular, we encourage the submission of original and innovative research which highlights cutting-edge contributions within the general area of machine learning and data analysis, as well as their applications in healthcare and healthcare informatics. Topics of interest of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Data analysis and machine learning applications in healthcare;
- Machine learning and e-health solutions;
- Medical imaging and telemedicine;
- Smart healthcare systems and applications;
- Medical and health communication systems;
- Medical and Electronic health records systems;
- RFID technologies and digitalization in healthcare.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
